1. I can’t learn to persevere when it comes to exercising if I don’t get up off my rear and go! I have to push through the exhaustion (laziness, boredom, negativity, etc.) and go to the gym. I’ll feel better after I do!
2. Food in itself is not a celebration.
3. Losing weight takes time; slower is better. (Grrrr)
4. This is for me. It’s also about setting a good example for my children and being healthy for my family, but ultimately, this is for me.
5. I can actually do a lot more than I thought (boxing, box jumping, planks, not eating dessert!). I’ve got to keep challenging myself!
I agree with your need to persevere, Jen! And I too feel great about having completed a good workout. Have we talked about where we grew up? I’m from Carterville – you?
I too, think those are good things to remember. I think the greatest one is being an example for our children, fam, and friends. Then the end results will be we gained what we wanted for ourselves and that us weight lost. 🙂
