The Tennessee Titans will make their 2026 NFL season debut by hosting the New York Jets at Nissan Stadium in Week 1 this Sunday. There’s so much to learn about these new-look Titans. Head coach Robert Saleh and the team’s new coordinators Brian Daboll and Gus Bradley will officially make their debuts.

The most important aspect of the Titans’ 2026 campaign is the development of sophomore quarterback Cam Ward. Coach Daboll is being tasked with overseeing his ascension. The Titans’ new-look passing game will finally be unveiled versus the Jets.

This is a deep receiving core in Tennessee. Carnell Tate was drafted at fourth overall to grow alongside Ward. Wan’Dale Robinson was signed in free agency for his ability to be a high-volume, reliable weapon. Calvin Ridley is also back, and Elic Ayomanor had an excellent training camp. The Titans are four-deep at receiver.

Who do you think will lead the Titans in receiving in Week 1? It’s an interesting question. Fans would love to see Tate explode after he failed to record a single preseason catch. Robinson should be Ward’s most reliable weapon, possibly leading the Titans in targets. Ridley is a big-play threat who once played in Daboll’s offense at Alabama.

Running backs and tight ends should also be heavily involved in the Titans’ passing attack. Tony Pollard, Tyjae Spears, Gunnar Helm, and Daniel Bellinger will play notable roles in Daboll’s offense. Ward will be tasked with spreading the ball around to a plethora of players.

The Titans should also establish the run via Pollard and Spears. This Titans-Jets rematch is littered with revenge storylines. From Saleh to John Franklin-Myers, Jacob Martin, Jermaine Johnson, Solomon Thomas, and Tony Adams, Tennessee is loaded with former Jets players. Who leads the Titans’ new-look passing attack in receiving is another question.

Everyone and their cousin is releasing their final 2026 NFL mock drafts. Sports Illustrated’s Conor Orr dropped his on Tuesday morning. Orr has the Tennessee Titans making quite the move.

In Orr’s projection, the Titans trade down from No. 4 overall despite Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love being on the board. The Titans go all the way down to No. 13, with the Los Angeles Rams acquiring the fourth pick to nab… Jeremiyah Love.

The Titans receive quite the haul for Love, with the Rams parting with Nos. 13, 61, 93 and a 2027 first-round pick; Rams receive Nos. 4 and 101. The Titans would possess four picks in Rounds 2 and 3 in this scenario, and an extra 2027 first.

We do however take quite the objection with the final line in Orr’s blurb. “The Titans may like the idea of having a 2027 chip to play with if the new coaching staff decides Cam Ward isn’t the long-term answer.”

.@ConorOrr’s mock draft features two teams trading up into the top five, including one Super Bowl contender making a big play for Jeremiyah Love https://t.co/milt8gRkfS
— The MMQB (@theMMQB) April 21, 2026

At No. 13 overall, the Titans end up with USC wide receiver Makai Lemon. Trading down that far ensures the Titans would miss out on even second-wave prospects like Rueben Bain Jr., Sonny Styles, Carnell Tate, and Caleb Downs (not to mention Love, David Bailey, and Arvell Reese). Lemon would be a good consolation prize, given all the extra picks acquired in 2026 and 2027. Lemon is a savvy route runner and pro-ready receiver whose selection would invest in Cam Ward’s development at quarterback.

The 2027 NFL Draft appears loaded, so it’d be interesting for the Titans to acquire an extra selection next year. It’s worth acknowledging the Rams will likely be picking in the late twenties, however, far out of Jeremiah Smith range. If the Titans pass on Love and trade down this far, they’re likely targeting a prospect like Lemon, Bain, Mansoor Delane, Spencer Fano, or Francis Mauigoa.

It’s been a long-running expectation that Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love is the favorite to be selected by the Tennessee Titans at No. 4 overall in the 2026 NFL Draft. Now that NFL Draft week has arrived, both accurate and smokescreen reports are arriving in swift fashion. Separating the difference will be difficult until Thursday’s events conclude.

The Arizona Cardinals are now being linked to Love at No. 3 overall, one selection before the Titans’ scheduled pick. “There is growing chatter in league circles that Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love is in play with Arizona at No. 3 overall,” Adam Schefter reported on Monday morning.

Schefter goes on to claim that the Cardinals would prefer to trade back. If GM Monti Ossenfort can’t identify a trade partner, then Love is among the shortlisted possibilities. “If the Cardinals stick and pick at No. 3, I believe they’ll grab Love,” Todd McShay recently wrote, too.

There is growing chatter in league circles that Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love is in play with Arizona at No. 3 overall. Ideally, the Cardinals would like to find a team willing to trade up so they can acquire more picks, and there have already been “exploratory” calls,…
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) April 20, 2026

Quarterback Fernando Mendoza is going No. 1 overall. The New York Jets will be choosing a pass rusher, either David Bailey or Arvell Reese, at No. 2 overall. If Love goes third to the Cardinals, that would guarantee the Titans an opportunity to select whichever pass rusher (Bailey/Reese) the Jets passed on.

Are we sure that’s not the Titans’ preferred outcome? Robert Saleh is a defensive minded head coach. The Titans don’t have a top-tier EDGE rusher on the roster to play with Jeffery Simmons and John Franklin-Myers. EDGE is a more premium position than running back.

The Titans have long been linked to Love. They’d be adding a premium blue-chip talent to play with franchise quarterback Cam Ward. If the Cardinals pull the first NFL Draft surprise by selecting Love, the Titans should remain calm and draft Reese or Bailey, whoever the Jets pass on at No. 2.

For months, Adam Schefter has been saying that the Tennessee Titans aren’t considering taking Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love. He has changed that tune today:

Now, remember, you can’t believe anything you hear this time of year. If Schefter is all of a sudden changing his tune on the Titans’ feelings, that is probably because someone wants that information out there.

One of the rumors that is gaining steam is that the Dallas Cowboys are looking to trade ahead of the New York Giants for a player. Is that player Love? It certainly could be.

So that begs the question, if you were Mike Borgonzi, would you be willing to trade with the Cowboys? They have picks 12 and 20 in the first round of this draft, but they don’t have another pick until the third round. Would you ask for next year’s 1?

Moving down to 12 would be a pretty big deal. That takes you out of the range of all of the blue-chip players in this draft. Would getting three of the top 35 players in this draft be worth giving up whoever they might take at 4?

I’ve been a little MIA for the last couple of weeks. I work in accounting, and as you can probably imagine, this is the craziest time of the year for me. The good news is we are just a little more than two days away from “tax season” being over.

With that being said, one of the things that I have been seeing a lot of is that the Tennessee Titans are one of the teams looking to move down in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft. That’s not really news. The Titans have made no secret of their desire to add extra draft capital. There is a lack of blue-chip talent at the top of the draft, but it is a deep draft by all accounts.

Of course, the fact that there is a lack of blue-chip talent in this draft is going to make it more difficult to trade down, but hey, it just takes one team to fall in love with a guy in order to move up a few spots to get him.

In the above-linked article, Breer mentions Arvell Reese and Jeremiyah Love as two players that teams could be willing to trade up to draft. It would be great for the Titans to be able to add extra picks, but the most important thing is that they come away from night one with a player who can make an immediate impact on the field.

So you play Mike Borgonzi, if the draft goes Fernando Mendoza, David Bailey, Arvell Reese, would you rather the Titans stay and take Love, or trade down a few spots and take the best player on their board that’s still available?

The negotiating ”legal tampering” for NFL free agency opens today. As a reminder, teams can negotiate contracts for free agents starting today. Nothing can be officially signed until the new league year opens on Wednesday. There have been times since this process started when a deal has been agreed on and reported that a player has later changed his mind. It doesn’t happen often, but nothing is official until it is signed.

The Tennessee Titans are expected to be very active in free agency. They currently have just over $92 million in cap space. That number will increase when they release L’Jarius Sneed, and something will probably happen with Calvin Ridley’s contract as well. They have plenty of money and plenty of needs to spend that money on.

The Titans’ biggest needs are at EDGE, cornerback, and wide receiver. They won’t be able to fix all of their needs in free agency, but they should be able to get a good start. They will have to fill out the rest in the draft.

We will be updating this post throughout the next few days with all of the news and rumors that we see about the Titans.
In all of the news yesterday, I missed this tweet from Terry McCormick:

Trey Hendrickson and Romeo Doubs are two of the big-time free agents who have the Titans on their radar. But the issue may be how much and how many big ticket items the Titans will spend on early in free agency.
— Terry McCormick (@terrymc13) March 9, 2026

Now, that tweet is a little convoluted. Does that mean that the Tennessee Titans are in on Trey Hendrickson, or that Hendrickson is in on the Titans? The Titans have a ton of available money, so it makes perfect sense that Hendrickson would be in on the Titans.

The Titans could certainly use Hendrickson. They have a desperate need for a pass rusher, and he is the best player available on the market. He had back-to-back 17.5 sack seasons in 2023 and 2024 for a terrible Bengals’ defense. He had a down year last year after suffering a core muscle injury that forced him to have season-ending surgery.

It sounds like the reason that Hendrickson hasn’t signed yet is that he is holding out for a huge payday:

As of this morning there were teams I spoke with who said the gap between what he wanted and what they were willing to pay was close to $10M per year https://t.co/9Yf1TRKEHc
— Jonathan Jones (@jjones9) March 10, 2026

$10 million is a pretty big gap. Hendrickson will turn 32 during the 2026 season. Coming off the injury he suffered last season, he might be forced to take a deal with less money than he is expecting. If the Titans could get him on a shorter-term deal with most of the money being paid in the first couple of years, I would be on board.

Should the Titans sign Hendrickson? If so, what are the parameters of the contract you would be willing to offer him?

The Tennessee Titans are expected to be in the market for a wide receiver when NFL free agency opens next week, according to Matthew Berry. The two best receivers expected to be available are Alec Pierce from the Indianapolis Colts and Wan’Dale Robinson from the New York Giants. Robinson would make a lot of sense due to his ties to Brian Daboll.

Robinson had 92 catches for 1,014 yards and four touchdowns with the Giants last season. Spotrac has Robinson’s value at $17.6 million per season. That would mean he will likely get a 4-year deal for about $70.5 million. That feels a little steep, but that’s life in free agency.

Speaking of steep, Spotrac has Pierce’s value at $20.2 million per season. That shapes up to a 4-year deal worth nearly $81 million. Pierce fits what the Titans need as he is a guy who can stretch the field. He had 47 catches for 1,003 yards and six touchdowns last season.

In the above-linked article from Berry, he goes into a little more detail about why Jeremiyah Love to the Titans makes a lot of sense. The argument is basically that the Titans need stars, and Love is a star. They also have holes all across the roster, so taking the best player available each time they are on the clock is a smart play.

You get to pick one, Robinson or Pierce. Who are you taking?

Before we start, a disclaimer that I put out there every year around this time: The majority of what you will hear between now and the NFL Draft is either a lie or information that a team wants out there for one reason or another. Teams are working every angle they can to help themselves in the draft. So, make sure that youtake everything you hear with a grain of salt. With all of that being said,

The Titans reportedly think Jeremiyah Love is the best player in the draft

Jeremiyah Love to WHERE?!? Watch to the end to see a crazy rumor @MatthewBerryTMR heard pic.twitter.com/x3gwshHfyx
— Rotoworld Football (@rotoworld_fb) February 27, 2026

Jeremiyah Love might just be the best player in this draft, but the problem, of course, is that he is a running back. That presents the “positional value” question for the Titans. Can they take a RB with the 4th pick? I don’t think it’s crazy. One of the biggest ways to help a young quarterback is to give him a dominant running game. Love would give them that.

The ideal scenario would be to trade down a little bit and snag Love.

Titans targeting Chig Okonkwo and Kevin Zeitler as free agency starts

Paul Kuharsky is reporting that the Titans are prioritizing Chig Okonkwo and Kevin Zeitler among their potential free agents. It makes a lot of sense for them to try to bring Chig back. He’s a young guy with the talent to be a big playmaker for them. His potential still hasn’t been realized.

The Zeitler thing doesn’t make as much sense. He’s old and wasn’t very good last year. They need to find a young guy that they can plug in at right guard and grow in this new system.

What would your reaction be if the Titans took Love with the 4th pick in the 2026 NFL Draft?

The Tennessee Titans have interviewed, or requested interviews, with 16 total head coaching candidates. If a 17th candidate officially emerges, it’ll almost certainly be former Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh. Harbaugh is the best coach on the market after leading the Ravens for 18 seasons, including a Super Bowl win and 12 postseason appearances.

Harbaugh will apparently begin interviewing with teams this week. He has loosely been connected to the Titans’ vacancy. Harbaugh was allegedly watching tape on Titans quarterback Cam Ward (among others) over the weekend before narrowing down his list of potential suitors.

There were some immediate rumors regarding Harbaugh’s “demands.” Tony Grossi of ESPN Cleveland was reporting that Harbaugh wanted a $20 million/year salary, total authority over the roster, and to hand-pick his GM. That would obviously be a problem for the Titans for a number of reasons.

Who knows what Amy Adams Strunk would be willing to pay Harbaugh, but Brian Callahan earned nowhere near $20 million per year. The bigger issue is the control over the roster / and hand-select the GM rumors. The Titans obviously aren’t firing GM Mike Borgonzi, nor are they about to take full control of the roster away from him when they just shuffled the duties between him and president Chad Brinker.

Well, Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports recently debunked those rumors.

NFL teams await word from John Harbaugh while keeping an eye on what happens in Green Bay with Matt LaFleur @NFLonCBS https://t.co/9sQEjFutiP
— Jonathan Jones (@jjones9) January 11, 2026

“Reports of Harbaugh’s demands are inaccurate, according to a source with knowledge,” Jones wrote in a recent column. “Harbaugh will command a high salary based simply off his resume, and some level of roster say is inherent in attracting a coach of that caliber. But a demand of $20 million in salary and full roster control are not required to land Harbaugh’s services.”

That would be great news for the Titans. If Harbaugh’s demands are reasonable, then the Titans could be considered realistic contenders. It’s worth noting Jones says the New York Giants and Atlanta Falcons are perceived favorites, however.

“Two sources on interested teams said their belief is [that] Harbaugh’s top choices among the vacant jobs are the New York Giants and Atlanta Falcons in some order. Those sources added the Tennessee Titans are in third place.”

We’ll see if Harbaugh agrees to interview with the Titans this week.
